Governance

The Governing Body at Brighouse High School plays an important role in the leadership of the school.

They work together with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team to:

  • Set the strategic vision, aims and objectives of the school
  • Hold the school to account for the standard and quality of education it achieves
  • Oversee the financial performance of the school, making sure money is well spent

In addition to the statutory duties, our Governors are involved both through formal governor committees, visits to the school and involvement in the day-to-day life of the school.   The structure of our Governing Body can be found below.

 

Interested in Becoming a Governor?

As vacancies arise, they will be advertised and the decision to appoint is made by our Governing Body.  To ensure the welfare of our students, we have a commitment to safeguarding and successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
